For the first time, Trainees traveled all the way from Vietnam to be at the event to prepare and serve specialty dishes from the STREETS Restaurant Café in Hoi An. For Linh and Thuy, class three graduates, it was an exciting adventure to visit and meet the many supporters and guests at the event.
Preceeding the event, a VIP reception featured the STREETS Trainees. They demonstrated how to prepare the classic Vietnamese dish Banh Xeo, (crispy rice pancakes filled with sauteed vegetables, shrimp and pork, served with fresh herbs). VIP guests delighted in this special tasting.
The event sponsors and proceeds make possible the important work of STREETS helping disadvantaged young adults to transition from poverty and life on the streets to successful careers in hospitality.
