HUE OUTREACH - In order to reach more disadvantaged and impoverished youth, especially from Central Vietnam, STREETS has initiated an Outreach Program in Hue, the former imperial capital city of Vietnam.

The purpose of this program is to identify and work with the disadvantaged youth from poor rural areas, fishing villages and isolated indigenous ethnic minority communities.

The Hue-based Outreach Program provides daily basic English language classes and support for the classroom experience for youth that might not otherwise be considered – by themselves and others – as capable.

The program has already provided basic English language instruction to over 30 youth. These most vulnerable youth include some that have been rescued from the abuses of child-labor.· A number of these youth have already gone onto the comprehensive STREETS Program in Hoi An.
